Frequently asked questions
At LionLab, we pride ourselves on transparency and exceptional service. Below, you'll find answers to key questions about our online dental digital design service, specifically tailored for small dental clinics in Moncton, New Brunswick, Canada, and beyond. Learn more about our offerings, process, and what makes us your ideal partner for fast, production-ready CAD designs.
1) What services do you provide?
We provide digital design services for dental clinics on a case-by-case basis. Our main focus is removable cases, including full dentures and partial dentures. We also offer night guard design, custom impression tray design, and selected design-only cases such as temporary crowns and bridges.
2) Do you manufacture or ship physical products?
No. We provide digital design services only.
You submit case files, and we deliver production-ready STL files for your clinical or lab workflow.
3) What file formats do you accept?
STL is preferred. Other common file formats may be accepted by prior agreement, depending on the case type and workflow requirements.
If you are unsure, contact us before submitting the case.
4) What do you deliver?
We deliver production-ready STL files based on the submitted scans and approved case details.
5) What is your standard turnaround time?
Standard turnaround is up to 24 hours for most cases after:
-
the files are received,
-
the scan quality is confirmed, and
-
the case details/prescription are clear.
6) Do you offer urgent turnaround?
Yes. Urgent turnaround (1–6 hours) may be available depending on schedule and case complexity.
Urgent cases are accepted by availability only and include an additional fee.
7) Do you accept weekend cases?
Yes. Weekend turnaround is available by schedule and may include an additional fee.
Please contact us in advance for weekend availability.
8) What happens if the scan quality is not usable?
We review scan quality before design starts.
If there are critical scan artifacts, missing anatomy, distortion, or other issues that would compromise the result, we pause the case and explain the problem. The case will need a corrected re-scan before design can continue.
This policy helps prevent poor-quality outcomes.
9) Do you start designing immediately after submission?
Not always. We first review:
-
scan quality,
-
case scope,
-
prescription details,
-
and any missing information.
Design starts after the case is confirmed as ready.
10) Is scan quality review included?
Yes. Scan quality review is included before design begins.
11) Is revision included?
Yes. One revision is included if it stays within the original prescription and approved case scope.
12) What counts as a paid revision or additional charge?
Additional charges may apply if:
-
the requested changes go beyond the original prescription,
-
the case scope changes after approval,
-
new files are submitted that change the original design basis,
-
multiple revision rounds are requested.
We will confirm any additional charges before proceeding.
13) Are prices fixed?
Prices shown on the website are starting rates for digital design services.
Final pricing is confirmed after scan review and case scope verification.
14) Can you guarantee fit or clinical outcome?
We provide digital design services based on the files and instructions submitted.
Clinical fit and final outcome depend on multiple factors, including scan quality, impressions, bite records, manufacturing process, materials, and clinical handling. For this reason, final clinical outcomes cannot be guaranteed.
15) What information should I submit with a case?
To avoid delays, please include:
-
case type (full denture, partial denture, night guard, etc.)
-
upper/lower scans (as applicable)
-
bite/occlusion record (if applicable)
-
prescription details / design instructions
-
preferred turnaround (standard or urgent)
-
clinic contact information
If required information is missing, we may pause the case until it is clarified.
16) Do you offer a free first case?
Yes. New clinic clients may qualify for one free first case.
This offer is intended to let clinics evaluate our workflow, communication, and file quality before regular submissions.
17) Can I submit cases through messenger?
Yes. Cases can be submitted through the website form or messenger (by agreement).
For larger files, we may ask you to use a file-sharing link (for example, Google Drive, Dropbox, or WeTransfer).
18) Do you accept large STL files?
Yes, but large files may need to be shared through a file transfer link depending on website upload limits.
If your file is too large to upload through the website form, please send a secure file-sharing link.
19) How do payments work?
Payment terms depend on the case type and agreement. In many cases, pricing is confirmed after scan review and case scope verification, then payment is arranged before or after delivery according to the agreed workflow.
20) What if I need a service not listed on the website?
Contact us before submitting. We will confirm whether the case is within scope and provide a turnaround and pricing estimate if accepted.

-
Incomplete submissions may be paused until required details are provided.
